Graduate Research Assistant - Industrial Assessment Center
Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering

General Description
Full-time graduate research assistantships, leading to a M.S. degree in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering are available. Thesis research will focus on the analysis, design and implementation of relevant engineering material in industrial and manufacturing use and waste minimization depending on the training and interest of the individual.

Qualifications
An earned B.S. degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, or a related field is required. The candidate must be eligible for admission to the Graduate School in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Massachusetts.
Good oral and written communication skills are desired.

Stipend and Fees
The stipend will be approximately $16,000 per year. Full support provides a twenty hour per week stipend, a tuition scholarship and medical coverage. Additional, uncovered costs include a student activity fee of $500 per semester and summer health coverage that is about $200.
