WEPS: Wind Energy Predevelopment Support
Promoting Wind Power in
Massachusetts Communities
With the support of the Massachusetts Renewable Energy
Trust, RERL works with communities that are
considering wind power.
Why Wind Energy?
Windpower is the most rapidly growing
electric power source in the U.S. today, but
Massachusetts has been slow to follow this trend.
Massachusetts is already benefiting from windpower and
customer demand for clean energy is growing.
How Can I Participate? Communities can contact MTC to begin
discussions about their wind power prospects. Refer to
these documents for more information:
For projects not participating in MTC's Community Wind Collaborative, this survey form will help in gathering information needed to begin evaluating a site.
Support
This program is made possible by the
support of the Department of Energy's National Renewable
Energy Laboratory and the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative. It is part of the NREL's State-based
Anemometer Loan Program.
