RERL Programs
The RERL is the US leader in wind energy research and
education. As the country's only institution offering
master's and doctoral-level engineering programs
specializing in wind energy, the RERL at UMass draws
diverse and talented students. For more than 30 years,
the RERL has trained future generations of leaders in
wind engineering. Our graduates are highly sought after
and have gone on to be prominent figures in all aspects
of the wind power industry, both nationally and
internationally.
The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering
(MIE) and the Graduate School oversee the graduate
school application process and specify all master's
degree and Ph.D. requirements. All graduate program
